3 Ingredient Raw "Hard-Shell" Chocolate Sauce

  • Coconut oil, organic, cold-pressed and unrefined
  • Date paste
  • Cacao powder, organic and raw
  • Pinch of sea salt


  1. Put softened or melted coconut oil in your blender, or in a jar (if using immersion blender).
  2. Add about equal amounts cocao powder to coconut oil and a spoonful or so of date paste. Start with less than you think, as you can always add more.
  3. Blend on high with your blender or immersion blender for about 10 seconds. This will ensure that it is well emulsified, smooth and creamy.
  4. Taste. Is there enough cocao powder for that rich chocolate flavor? Does it need to be a touch sweeter? Add more if needed and blend until well incorporated.

  5. Enjoy! Drizzle and dip on everything... or with your finger...
