Episode 007 – on being set apart
When thinking about caring for our bodies, the food we eat, our lifestyle choices, maybe it’s a small part of what it means to be set apart. Of not mirroring the world and the world’s ways, but influencing it and setting the example. Let’s think through it.
scripture
“…but like the Holy One who called you, be holy yourselves also in all your behavior; because it is written, ” YOU SHALL BE HOLY, FOR I AM HOLY.” 1 Peter 1:15-16 NASB
“But you are A CHOSEN RACE, A royal PRIESTHOOD, A HOLY NATION, A PEOPLE FOR God’s OWN POSSESSION, so that you may proclaim the excellencies of Him who has called you out of darkness into His marvelous light;” – 1 Peter 2:9 NASB
Notable Quotes
» We should be influencing the world, not mirroring it.
» But just like with regarding gender and marriage and family, the world is upside down. And as a nutritionist I see how the world views food, exercise, what healthy is in an upside down way – contrary to God’s original design.
» So I thinks hat when thinking about caring for our bodies, the food we eat, our lifestyle choices, maybe it’s a small part of what it means to be set apart. Of not mirroring the world, and the world’s ways, but setting the example.
Show NOTES
